New typographic features in Firefox 3

Firefox 3 bring some impressive new features to text rendering: kerning, ligatures, hinting, and more.

Unfortunately, Ralf’s investigation seems to show that some of the functionality is still a bit buggy in Firefox 3 on the Mac – adding discretionary ligatures automatically, and not using context-sensitive glyphs appropriately.
