I read an article today about the Open Space method of running meetings. It's a very interesting idea, and seems to have a lot in common with Agile development methods (People over processes, etc).
The idea of Open Space is simple: when you need to get something done with a large number of people, dispense with the overhead of trying to organise and manage it. Instead, get the right people, get them motivated, and get them communicating.
